Christian de la Motte

Christian de la Motte is more of an entertainer than a mystical magician. His performances are characterized by close encounters, allowing audiences to experience his shows through personal dialogue. Wit, charm, and situational comedy are always part of the act. His corporate design and website underwent a complete redesign that maintains a classic feel while presenting a much more unique and individual identity.

Concept: Irreal Form

Inspired by M.C. Escher’s impossible structures, this direction centers on a three-dimensional initial “C” that has been twisted through a perspective shift to symbolize a magician’s ability to make the inexplicable tangible. The visual identity establishes a world of sophisticated wonder, pairing a premium palette of deep blue and soft yellow with a disciplined, traditional layout to ground the surreal central mark. By colorizing photography in corporate tones and utilizing a subtle repeating logo pattern, the design creates an immersive, high-end atmosphere that invites the audience to question their own reality. This bridge between classical stagecraft and modern geometric abstraction positions the entertainer as an intelligent master of perception who masterfully blends the everyday with the inexplicable.

Concept: Kaleidoscope

Focusing on a multifaceted and highly aesthetic reality, this approach uses the triangular structures of a kaleidoscope to represent the vibrant complexity of a modern magic performance. The logo is constructed from colorful shards that form captivating, full-surface patterns, while a bold and diverse color palette ensures a high-energy presence that breaks away from traditional industry clichés. To balance this expressive visual activity, the design employs a strict grid system of triangular clipping masks for photography and maintains exceptionally calm typography as a professional anchor. The resulting language is artistic and dynamic, presenting an enthusiastic and intelligent brand identity that occupies its space with a unique, shifting visual signature.
